The Preserve is a luxurious subdivision found inside McDowell Mountain Ranch. It was built by Shea Homes and contains 231 homes.

In 1997 pricing began at $141,150 for the Sontera model. Currently prices range from the $600,000’s to the $850,000’s. Homes with the best views and largest lots have the highest values.

The Preserve offers 6 different floor plans, 3 single-story and 3 multi-level. There are a total of 10 different floor plan variations. These floor plans range from 1,222 square feet up to 2,132 square feet. Each of these floor plans offer 3 different exterior “elevations” along with customized exterior options. These exterior options give the community a unique and varied look.

The Preserve is located South of the Desert Canyon Shopping Center and West of 105th St. This community offers a number of cul-de-sacs making it an ideal spot for families. About one-third of these homes back up to open space, thus giving them extra privacy and breath-taking mountain views. 56 of these homes have private pools as well.
